It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like ...

A cardigan. Whisper Cardigan, that is. I love this yarn (Malabrigo Lace). I love this colorway (Whales Road). I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this shrug-ish sweater. If I ever get it done, that is. But at least after almost a year and a half, it's actually looking more and more like a sweater, than the legwarmer it was looking like for so long. The construction of this piece is simple but quite clever -- the sleeves are knit in one piece end to end before picking up stitches for the collar and body. But the delicate yarn and endless stockinette make it a bit tedious. Still, there's an end in sight (a day of football helps) and I can't wait to wear this baby merino loveliness against my skin.
