So, the renowned Yarn Harlot has created the Knitting Olympics, to challenge all us knitters out here. The idea is to cast on during the opening ceremonies and complete a project by the time the flame goes out. That's 16 days. To start and finish! Hmm ... tempting. I'm undecided yet as to whether I'll join in on the fun. It's certainly generated a lot of interest, as evidenced by the sheer number of comments left on the post already.
